Cartagena, Colombia.
La Chiva = Party bus.
I took these last year. Everyone gets on the bus(the normal seats are removed) and you sit on a long wooded bench. Musicians sit in the middle of the Chiva and it goes all over town. Everyone is singing and having a great time. I just loved the concept.
Bottles of rum, buckets of ice and bottles of Coka Cola get passed from the front of the bus to the back and then back to the front.
Ours was particularly fun as the city was preparing for Obama’s visit, so the street were full of hot policemen and hot soldiers. Weehpah !

I was just watching the movie “Romancing The Stone” yesterday where they talk about Cartagena! Small world, hey?

Wow … Weird how that happens sometimes.
Great city with a lot to do.
